Scholarship Fund Details

We support 4 scholarships that will go to Haverhill High students. These kids were so near and dear to Michelle's heart!

Foster Care / DCF $1000
Children in need of a helping hand lost an advocate. We are taking this small step of softening that blow. The recipient of this scholarship is given a little boost from Michelle, who is still making lives better.

Running Scholarship $1000
No greater bonds are made than that of friends suffering out on the road. Michelle made some good friends out of her passion for running. The recipient of this scholarship will just be the latest!

Sorry for swearing but "f- cancer" is a theme embraced by our organization. We realize that everyone is affected by this terrible disease, but this scholarship is a tribute the the enduring spirit of those who battle it.

Our Donations

In addition to our scholarship fund, we donate money to charities that were important to Michelle. Her battle with cancer did not define her, but did impact her significantly. There were countless people that supported her and this is our way of giving back. Note that our focus is on giving individuals a little boost when they need it the most.

Side note...Not only did Michelle care about the people she helped in the community, but she also had a love for our 4 legged friends and we do as well!

Who Are We

The founding members of MishStrong come from various backgrounds and skill sets. We are bound together by our sense of loss of our beloved Michelle. She was so deeply ingrained in our lives that we cannot simply absorb her passing. In order to move forward we are putting our collective energies into continuation of her legacy of helping others within the community she fought so hard to improve.

Mishstrong is dedicated to supporting the community by providing scholarships to future leaders in social work. We also directly provide much need resources and moral support to our partners in the areas of early learning / head start as well as to foster homes and schools.
